1. Respect the administrators and senior members, period. Disrespect of an administrator or senior member will be met with a warning. Continued disrespect will be met with removal of your tags (if applicable) and a permanent ban from all SKC servers.
2. Respect each other. You should treat each other with respect, regardless of rank, age, race, religion, sexual orientation or gender. Disrespect of a member or fellow player will be met with a warning and then a temporary ban. Further disrespect will be met with removal of your tags (if applicable) and a permanent ban from ALL SKC servers.
3. No cheating, hacks or scripts whatsoever. Anyone caught doing so will IMMEDIATELY have their tags removed (if applicable) and be banned from ALL SKC servers. Additionally, your STEAM ID information will be forwarded for inclusion in Steams master ban list. We have a ZERO tolerance policy when it comes to cheaters.
4. Try to keep swearing to a minimum. Although we are, for the most part, an adult clan, and, for the most part, don’t allow anyone 18 and below into the clan, we do have some younger players that are currently part of the clan and others visit our servers. Additionally, we don’t feel that a constant barrage of profanity is fun to listen to while playing. If we feel that you are swearing excessively, you may be asked to leave our server by one of our senior members or you may be kicked by one of our administrators. Continued violations will result in removal of your tags (if applicable) as well as temporary and/or permanent bans from the SKC servers.
5. Always wear and respect your [SKC] clan tags. Remember, when you are wearing your clan tags, you are representing the WHOLE clan. If you feel you have to remove your tags, please let an administrator or senior member know why. Disrespect of the clan tags will be met with a warning. Continued disrespect will be met with removal of your clan tags and the possibility of being banned from all SKC servers.
Note: SKC tags are required only in the games that we currently play which include Half Life 2: Deathmatch, Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty 4. However, you may wear your tags in other games as long as you still adhere to these rules.
6. Try to keep mic spamming to a minimum, and try to keep all voice chat related to the game currently being played. If a senior member or administrator asks you to cut down on the voice chat, please do so. It’s ok to talk about the game, but don’t remind someone you fragged them every time you do so. Additionally, we don’t really need to know why you’re having trouble going to the bathroom either. If you fail to follow this rule, you will be warned. Continued mic spamming will be met with a temporary ban. Those we feel that are grossly breaking this rule (i.e. yelling into their mic, playing music or sound clips, etc.) will have their tags removed (if applicable) and immediately be banned from the server.
7. Don’t belittle or put down other players. Anything that denigrates or belittles another SKC member or any person in general will be met with a warning. Continued violation of this rule will result in a temporary ban and further violations will be met with tag removal (if applicable) and being banned from the server. If you have an axe to grind with someone, please use e-mail or the private messages on the forum. During game play is NOT the place to do it.
8. No spawn camping. Spawn camping is “camping” near a spawn point with the intention of killing any player who spawns there. We’re here, for the most part, to have fun. It’s not very fun when you get killed every time you spawn and it’s also considered an unfair tactic and bad form - so don’t do it. Anyone who spawn camps will be met with a warning. Continued violation of this rule will result in a temporary ban and further violations will be met with tag removal (if applicable) and being banned from the server.
Note: This rule does not currently apply to the CAL practices, matches, scrimmages or competitions, where spawn camping IS presently permitted.
All of these rules should be followed whether you’re on an SKC server or if you are wearing your tags on another server. If we receive a complaint that you have broken one of these rules on another server, the same punishments will apply.
Furthermore, these rules also apply to any non-members that are on our servers as well.
If you feel someone has broken these rules, clan member or not, and there isn’t an administrator or senior member on the server, please notify an administrator via private message here on the forums or via the Steam instant messenger and they will be dealt with accordingly.
One final rule…have fun! That’s what games are for anyways, no?
